The second part of my childhood was spent in a council house with a front and rear garden of no more than thirty feet long.
It is oh so typical of gardens on little estates that is a legacy of the thirties through to the seventies. The front hedge was very typically privett which is soft to cut, easy to shape and non irritating to the skin.
Because of the length (or lack of it), running an electric extension cage out the front door was painless and quick to set up.
Plug your hedge cutter in and away you go in an instant. No petrol and oil to mix (or spill) and the weight is dramatically reduced too.
This Bosch AHS 48-16 electric hedgecutter is the ideal machine for setting up and putting away quickly. The 420 watt motor will easily slice through first years growth on provett, beech, hawthorn and even holly.
With a 48 cm double side blade you can operate this vibration and noise free machine all day without getting tired.
When you are done, a coat of oil on the blade, wind up the twine and pop it back in the shed.
